Reviving Grappa, starting with a visit to a distillery. We’ve spoken about the Vicenza Food and Wine Tourism Festival, within whose framework the Talk Show “Distillery Tourism” took place. Paolo Brunello was among the speakers, along with Jacopo Poli, Vittorio “Gianni” Capovilla, Elena Schiavon, and Ivan Dal Toso and the wine producer Fausto Maculan. The Moderator was the journalist Alberto Lupini.
Opening up visits to the public to show off the places where the grappa is “really” produced has been identified as the center point. For this, it has been agreed that the visit must be made during the off season. This is the road we have taken for several years now when we welcome visitors to our agritourism. We have also spoken about promotion and the necessity of creating a synergy in the territory, between distilleries, restaurants and wineries. Unite the output of excellence in a touristic circuit where in every stage one can find information that sends one on to the next stage. And internet, as well, which has been identified as an instrument able to inform and involve even the most distant public. This, of course, without forgetting the problem of lack of transparency in the labeling: it is difficult to understand whether the seller is also the producer or only the bottler.
These are only a few of the points that emerged during the course of the meeting. For a deeper understanding we suggest reading the article that Italia a Tavola has dedicated to us.
