A journey of flavour, from eatery to eatery
The Berici Hills, balmy and winding, rise between the fogs of the Po valley, a small enclosed area to the north of the mountain, site of bloody combat during the world wars. Vicenza sits upon this group of hilly rises, originating from the depths of an ancient sea during a time span of at least a hundred million years. Monte Berico is an important summit for the territory. A vast and heterogeneous terrain which considers the idiosyncrasy and enhancement of each individual area as a common denominator. Still today, there are countless eateries to be found while wandering from hill to hill, characteristic gastronomic paradises, and agritourism accommodations now emerging from the old peasant dwellings, where traditional dishes and strong, full-bodied flavours can be enjoyed.
