The Brunello Tasting Panel is Off and Running

Do you have a blog? Are you enamored with food and wine? Well this is your chance to enter and judge the world of grappa. And specifically with the vintage grappas that we have been distilling in Montegalda, in the Province of Vicenza, for the past 170 years. Our idea was to create a tasting panel for grappa. And what grappa! We are offering you the possibility of choosing one of the grappas from the “I Ricordi” (Memories) line. These are all grappas from single grapevines, grappas of which we are exceptionally proud in that they are the fruit of our own personal selection throughout the years of rare and particular, and oft times forgotten, grapevines. Here then, are the grappas that we are placing at your disposal: Aleatico di Gradoli, Carmenere dei Colli Berici, Casetta della Vallagarina, Enantio della Valdadige, Spergola di Scandiano, Zibibbo di Pantelleria, Catarratto di Monreale and, last but not least, Frappato di Vittoria.

What is a tasting panel? Simple: you send us your contact information and we send you the grappa. The box we ship to your home will contain one 50cl bottle of the single vine grappa “I Riccordi” chosen by you in the agreement phase plus two official ANAG tasting glasses. The only commitment required of you is to post on-line, in your personal space, and within 30 days of receiving the bottle, your comments and considerations regarding the grappa that we shipped to your home. In addition to this, we will randomly extract three fortunate participants, drawn from all those who have registered, to receive weekend accommodations for two persons as our guests at our agritourism Il Palazzone in March of 2010 during the distilling process of our Amarone Grappa. The grappa will be shipped in chronological order to the first 20 people who register.
